The 45th salmon, a 20 lb hen hooked at F&BD was finally landed and the pool earned a name. The sport nearly suffered a concussion trying to keep up with the fish along the steep side cut. A jam of wood along the right-hand side with boles and branches sticking up from the bottom of the pool has created a challenging situation.

F&BD is not an overly large pool and by the beginning of August can be fished through with one fly in 15 minutes. The fact that fish must come up through the rapids and the presence of a nice deep hole afterwards makes for a season round stopover for salmon.
