riginally built in the 1880's for a group of Americans and Canadians, who had leased the Little (Petite) Cascapedia River from the Queen's representative's in Canada, Camp Brűlé has offered exclusive fishing for Atlantic Salmon and Sea Run Brook (Speckled) trout for over 100 years. The last club finished in the mid 1950s and Brűlé was set up as an outfitter available to the public.

The McWhirter family has been involved with Brűlé since the first days of the club and are now the proprietors, owner Ron McWhirter and the manager, his youngest son Kevin, are the third and fourth generation to run Brűlé.
