An
added bonus
of our
three rivers
is the
presence
throughout
the season
of large
sea run
brook trout.
Many are
caught
incidentally
by those
pursuing
Atlantic
salmon
but it
is also
possible
to take
a more
focused
approach
to the
pursuit
of these
beautiful
fish. Not
only is
this more
effective
but also
enables
our guests
to match
their tackle
more appropriately
to the
quarry – five
or six
weight
rigs are
ideal.
One
of the
best ways
to fish
for the
brookies
is by taking a trip up
to the remote branches
of the Petite Cascapedia
river. This is
wild, technically challenging
fishing and is best done
by way of a two day trip
with one night spent
camping riverside. We
are more than happy to
incorporate a trip of
this nature in to your
itinerary.
